True communication is an art, an exercise in sharing and mutual understanding. If we wish to create the kind of life we truly desire—which involves many relationships with a lot of different people—then we must master two critical skills:
1. Listening to understand;
2. Speaking to be understood.
Sounds simple, doesn’t it? And yet, it seems clear that with so many misunderstandings, disagreements, conflicts and even wars that have taken place in our history—and continue to this day—something is amiss with our collective ability to communicate. What on earth are we doing wrong?
Well, this is indeed a massively huge problem in the world, and we are not likely to solve it in a single episode of Life Mastery TV. But each of us can do our part to improve our own communication skills. By doing so, we cannot help but contribute to a better world.
For this episode, I’ve invited back my good friend Linda Shively, a neuroscience and mindset expert who knows a lot about communication. I hope you’ll join us as we take a deep dive into this rich and challenging topic. Here’s some of what we plan to discuss:
* Keys to Understanding
* Communication Failure
* The Game of “Telephone”
* Responsibilities
* Avoid/Resolve Conflict
Please join us for what promises to be a very lively conversation on a challenging but relevant topic.
